Til Patti || Sesame Crisp





Hello, I am sharing winter Sankranthi special recipe of til Patti. This one i have made many times this winter and specially on occasion of Makar Sankranti. We had throughly enjoyed this til Patti and so I am here with its recipe.

Ingredients - 


  1. Black Til/Sesame seeds - 100gm
  2. White Til/Sesame seeds - 100gm
  3. Jaggery - 200 Gm
  4. Khandsari/Normal sugar - 200 Gm (Instead of Jaggery)


Note  - Ratio of Til:Jaggery or Sugar = 1:1


Patti is made with sugar and jaggery both in video. You can use 

either of them. normal refined or unprocessed/khandsari sugar 

can be used here



Recipe -

  1. Take a heavy bottom pan/kadhai
  2. Heat on low flame
  3. Add 100gm of white sesame seeds
  4. Dry roast for 1-3 mins till it starts popping and turning aromatic
  5. Take out on plate and cool it completely
  6. Likewise roast black sesame seeds as well
  7. Take two butter paper and grease with oil/ghee
  8. Using Sugar - 
  • Now heat a pan on low flame
  • Add 100 gm of khandsari sugar or normal sugar
  • Melt it completely and till it is glazed
  • Now add roasted white sesame seeds and combine well
  • Pour the mixture on greased butter paper
  • And cover with another greased butter paper
  • Now roll into thin Patti when it is still hot
  • And then slices using knife into square shape and break into pieces
    9. Using Jaggery -

  • Take 100 gm of jagger cubes
  • Crush into powder
  • Now heat a pan on low flame
  • Add crushed jaggery into the pan
  • Melt it completely and till it is glazed
  • Now add roasted white sesame seeds and combine well
  • Pour the mixture on greased butter paper
  • And cover with another greased butter paper
  • Now roll into thin Patti when it is still hot
  • And then slices using knife into square shape and break into pieces


Til Patti is ready to serve and it can be evening snack or sweet post meal.
