Sun-dried Aam Chunda || Khat-Meethi || Sun-dried Sweet Mango pickle/Chutney

Aam Chunda || Khat-meethi || Sweet Mango pickle/Chutney

Hello, I am sharing my first recipe in pickle series of Aam Chunda. It is also known as Khat-Meethi or mango murabba.
This is very easy and takes less time for preparation. It tastes sweet and sour (Khati-meethi) and good accompaniment for paratha, kachori etc.

Ingredients -

  1. Raw mango - 1 Kg (Take khata-meetha aam)
  2. Sugar - 400 Gm
  3. Chaat masala - 1 Tbsp
  4. Pepper powder - 1/2 Tbsp
  5. Red chilli powder - 1/2 Tsp
  6. Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 Tbsp
  7. Black salt - 1 Tbsp
  8. Roasted Jeera powder - 1/2 Tbsp
  9. Salt - 1.5 Tbsp

Recipe -

  1. Take 1 Kg sweet-sour mango
  2. Clean with water
  3. Dry with cloth
  4. Peel mango skin and grate mango
  5. Add 1.5 tbsp rock salt
  6. Add 1 tbsp black salt
  7. Add 1 tbsp chaat masala
  8. Add 1/2 tbsp pepper powder
  9. Add 1/2 tbsp roasted jeera powder
  10. Add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  11. Add 1 tbsp kashmiri powder
  12. Add 400 gm sugar
  13. Combine well
  14. Keep in sun either in bowl with cloth cover or in glass jar
  15. Transfer in dry glass jar
  16. Keep in sunlight for 1 week
  17. Chatpati khati-meethi aam chunda is ready
  18. Once it is done Serve with paratha, kachori etc

Key points -

  1. Use raw mango with sweet and sour taste
  2. Clean and pat dry mango before peeling the skin
  3. Make sure after peeling no water should be added else it will spoil the Chunda
  4. Grate peeled mango and add all masala and sugar
  5. Sundry either in big bowl with cloth cover or in glass jar for 1 week

Serve this khati-meethi Chunda with paratha, kachori etc
