Chawal Ki Roti || Chawal ki Paratha || Rice flour Indian Bread ||

Hello, I am here with you sharing my new recipe of Chawal Ki Roti. Very simple and delicious recipe. It’s one my mother’s secret recipe and favourite of my family specially my kid which I am revealing today. Traditionally she used to soak the broken rice overnight and grind into fine paste and make dough with that and then preparing roti out of it. But here to make easy to simple with less time consumption, I am preparing with rice flour. 



Lets see the ingredients first and then step by step recipe -


Ingredients -


1. Rice flour - 2 cup

2. Water ~ 3 cup

3. Jeera powder - 1/4th tsp

4. Ghee/Oil - 2 tsp + for roasting

5. Salt - as per taste

Recipe -

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a heavy bottom kadhai.
  2. Add 2tsp ghee/oil, 1/4th tsp jeera powder and salt as per taste.
  3. Once it start boiling add 2 cups of rice flour (ratio of rice flour:water =1:1)
  4. Mix well and lower the flame to sim
  5. Cover with lid and let it cook for 5 mins
  6. Now remove the lid and mix well
  7. Turn off the flame and rest for 5-10 mins with lid on
  8. After 10 mins remove the lid and transfer to another utensil to knead it
  9. Add normal water and knead it into smooth dough
  10. Dust your hand with dry flour and take a small portion of dough of roll into a ball
  11. Now roll the ball into thin roti
  12. Heat a tala on medium flame
  13. Dust off the extra flour from rolled roti and put on tala
  14. Cook on both the side and and puff on flame for making roti
  15. Else you can add a dollop of ghee and roast to make plain paratha.
  16. It’s ready to serve with curry or chutney.
