Veg sizzler






Sizzling hot sizzler!! 

When a butler arrives with a sizzler in the dine area of a restaurant, it attracts every ones attention with its sizzling sound and smoky aroma.

"Sizzler" is a open-roasted, grilled or shallow fried piece of meat, chicken, fish or vegetable patty, served with french fries, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, carrots, french beans etc., served on a metal (usually iron) or stone hot plate, kept on a wooden base.

My hubby like it very much and we love to have it every time. So i decided to learn it. And here i am with it's recipe. 

Ingredients :

Mushroom - 1 cup
Paneer - 1 cup
Broccoli - 1/4 cup
Carrot - 1/4 cup
Bell Pepper - 1/4 cup (can be taken all colored- red, green, yellow)
Onion - diced - 1/4 cup
Baby corn - 4 (diced)
Olive oil for sauteing - 5 ts 

For Sauce 

Onions chpped - 2ts
Soya sauce - 2 tbs
Green chilli sauce - 1ts
Red chilli sauce - 1ts
tomato sauce - 2ts
Sugar - 1tbs
Salt - as per taste
corn flour - 4 ts
pizza seasoning - 1tbs
Pepper powder - 2tbs
Vinegar- 4 tbs


Recipe - 

1. First prepare sauce as below: 
a.Heat a pan and put some oil  and add chopped onions, fry till light brown.
b. Add soya sauce and other sauce one by one and then sugar, salt, pepper (half the quantity) and stir it well, should not stick or get dried.
c. Add seasoning and add the corn flour paste (mix corn flour with equal amount of water) and stir well and after a boil, take it off the flame.

2. Put oil all over the metal plate (on the bottom part too) and put it on the flame to get it super hot. it will take almost 10-12 mins.

3. Meanwhile fry vegetables:
a. Blanch broccoli and bay corn for 5 mins.
b. Heat a pan and put oil in it.
c. Add diced onions and stir for two minutes.
d.Then add all the vegetable one by one except paneer and fry for few minutes. Keep         vegetables crunchy, do not over cook it.
e. Add some salt and remaining pepper powder and take it off the flame.
f. In another pan, stir fry the paneer for few second in oil.

4. Take oil and water in equal quantity and prepare a mixture.

5. Now come to the plating part, take the plate off the flame and first put some sauce on it then quickly put all the vegetables on the plate and put fried paneer on top of the vegetables.

6. Put the sauce all over the vegetables and on the sides also. 
7. Sprinkle some oil-water mixture, it will give a smoky appearance to the sizzler and a sizzling sound effect too and serve it quickly. 

Make sure every thing is super hot while plating it whether it is plate, vegetables and sauce then only you will get the sizzling effect.

You can make it with variation like grilled fish and chicken as main ingredient too.
