Bathua Paratha

Hello guys, i am here to share a very healthy and easy yet yummy recipe of one kind of paratha. It is Bathua paratha. Please check and try the recipe.

Ingredients -

  1. Bathua/Mountain spinach leaves - 1 Bunch
  2. Wheat flour - 1 Cup
  3. Chaat masala - 1 Tsp
  4. Roasted Jeera powder - 1/2 Tsp
  5. Roasted red chilli powder - 1/2 Tsp
  6. Ghee - 4 Tbsp
  7. Salt - As per taste


Recipe - 
  1. Heat a sauce pan and add 250 ml of water
  2. Add 1 bunch of washed bathua leaves
  3. Boil for 1-2 mins till leaves get tender
  4. Take out leaves in bowl with cold ice water
  5. Cool the leaves completely
  6. strain then using strainer
  7. Add these leaves in mixer jar and grind to thick paste without water
  8. Empty the jar and add little water and keep this water aside
  9. Now take 1 cup wheat flour in a bowl
  10. add salt
  11. Add 1 tsp chaat masala
  12. Add 1 tsp roasted jeera-red chilli powder
  13. add 2 tbsp ghee or vegetable oil
  14. Add bath leaves puree and knead the flour in soft dough
  15. If required add water which we have gotten from cleaning the jar
  16. Rest the dough for 5-10 mins covering with cloth or plate
  17. Take a small portion of dough and roll in a ball
  18. Dust the dough ball with flour
  19. Roll it in thin paratha
  20. Heat a tawa on med flame
  21. Put the rolled paratha on tawa
  22. flip to other side
  23. Spread 1 tsp of ghee or oil
  24. roast the paratha on both side till it gets little crispy and remain soft too
  25. Take out on absorbent paper and likewise make all paratha
  26. Serve them with either of the curry, chutney, curd, raita, pickle etc
Serve hot and enjoy with your loved ones
