Chokha- Litti Wali || Mix veg Bharta || Baigan-Tomato Bharta





Hello, I am sharing recipe of Chokha - Litti Wali. This is classic dish of Bihar served along with Litti. Today not only Bihari’s but all loves Litti Chokha.
I am presenting recipe of Chokha now. Will later share Litti recipe as well.
Let's move to recipe now.

Ingredients - 
  1. Bharta baigan - 1 Piece
  2. Desi tomato - 3 Pieces
  3. Boiled potato - 2 Pieces
  4. Chopped onion - 1 Piece
  5. Green chilli -2 Piece
  6. Garlic - 4-6 Cloves
  7. Grated ginger - 1 Inch
  8. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 Spoon
  9. Mustard oil - 1 Spoon
  10. Salt - As per taste
Recipe -
  1. Put two slit on sides in brinjal
  2. Insert two chilli and cloves in the slit
  3. Put a frame on stove
  4. Place brinjal and tomato on the frame
  5. Switch ON the flame at low
  6. Roast veggies on all sides by flipping them
  7. This will take 15-10 mins
  8. Once tender and cooked from inside take out the veggies and cool them completely
  9. Now take out green chilli and garlic from brinjal and keep them aside
  10. Now peel the skin off from brinjal and tomatoes
  11. Add boiled potato in veggies
  12. Mash the veggies nicely
  13. Now add salt and raw mustard oil in the chilli and mash then as well
  14. After mashing add  masala in mashed veggies
  15. Add grated ginger and chopped coriander leaves and mix them well
  16. Chokha is ready to serve with Litti.
Lets see some key Points in preparation - 
  1. Use bharta baigan and desi tomatoes
  2. Roast on flame for smoky flavour and ease
  3. Cool them completely and then peel off the skin
  4. Mash the masala and veggies and mix well
  5. This chokha is served with Bihar special Litti.
